Printer Drivers

The predominant catalyst behind the functioning of the HP Deskjet D4160 printer is the Full Feature Software and Drivers, which amounts to a whopping 201.7 MB in size. Supplementary drivers comprise of the HP Print Software Patch When Upgrading Vista to Windows 7, which is about 1.3 MB in size. Installation Instructions

1. Choose the suitable Operating System driver and initiate the download process.
2. Once the download is complete, click on “run” if using Internet Explorer or “start” for Mozilla Firefox users to commence the installation.

Print Speed and Resolution

According to industry standards, Fast standard printing has a speed of 10.5 pages per minute (ppm) for black and white printing, while color graphics printing has a speed of 7.8 ppm. However, if printing is done in normal mode, the speed increases to 8.9 ppm for black and white printing and 5.8 ppm for color graphics. The optimal mode for printing is at a speed of 2.3 ppm, which is ideal for both monochrome and color printing.

At PhotoREt, three resolution options are available: Fast Normal, Normal, and Best. Each option is measured by the number of dots per inch (dpi), with a standard of 600 x 600 dpi. However, for optimized plain paper printing, a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi is recommended. This enhanced resolution applies to both black and white and color printing.

System Requirements

The operating systems that are compatible with our software include Microsoft Windows 98 SE, Windows Me, Microsoft Windows XP, and Windows 2000. To ensure a smooth run, we recommend a minimum processor of an Intel Pentium II or equivalent with a speed of at least 233 MHz. As for the required RAM size, Windows 98 SE and Windows Me require a minimum of 64 MB, while Windows XP and Windows 2000 require at least 128 MB. It is important to note that all the Microsoft Windows Operating systems require a necessary free hard disk space of 200 MB.
