There are only two ways to connect this printer model with the computer. It can either be through the USB cable which must not be longer than 2 meters or through the infrared (IrDA) component. These two ways are only characteristic of the Brother PJ-522 and PJ-523, but the other model in the PocketJet series, the Brother PJ-562 and PJ-563 has an additional option of a wireless Bluetooth connection. It is however imperative to install the appropriate drivers before connecting the printer to the PC.
