The Epson XP-310 printer boasts a variable-sized ink droplet technology that produces impeccable print quality, with a minimum ink droplet size of three picolitres. The machine can achieve an impressive maximum quality resolution of 5760 x 1440 optimized dots per inch (dpi). When printing in draft mode, black text can be produced at a quick speed of 33 pages per minute (ppm), while color printing has a speed of 15 ppm. For photo printing on standard photo-sized paper, the printer can produce prints in just 38 seconds.

In addition, this printer is compatible with various standard paper sizes such as A4, letter, legal, photo paper sizes, A6, A5, and B5. The main input tray has a capacity of up to 100 sheets of plain A4 paper weighing an average of 75 gsm. Moreover, borderless printing is available for basic photo paper sizes and A4 paper size.
